From the beginning God has trained us to be more servant-minded ahead of militancy minded. He communicated to us the pattern He wanted is more gracious and less prone to sling the sheep around in correction as I see some do. Yes, militancy and meekness each have a role to play in our service but  following the leading of the Holy Spirit, He has inspired us to lean more into servanthood until now...

This new title armorbearer, the Spirit of the Lord has allowed the Body of Christ to use as a help, is a renewed word for us in the 21st century. As you may know by now, the word armorbearer came from the Greek word, Nasa which means, to help or to assist.  This title is being used to bring a fresh anointed spirit of servanthood to the Body of Christ...

King David is one of the most famous kings of the Bible. Yet, before he became king he was an armorbearer. Has the Lord called you further? In this post I talk about a servant, the armorbearer. The reason I want to talk about this topic is I want to bring balance to your thinking on this matter. The decade or so that we served as armorbearers was pretty much heaven on earth to us. Other than, my wife and I serving to our fullest potential; it was hard work. I’m not saying that in a bad way; but meaning we didn’t play around.

Years ago, I was visiting my parents home for the Thanksgiving holidays. We were all sitting around the table talking, joking and laughing. Suddenly the wind blew the door ajar. Someone got up to close the door and looking outside said, "There's a tornado coming this way!"

Today I begin by giving a testimony about a customer and the situation that was presented to me and the cry of faith that brought deliverance. As many of you know, I'm a Minister of the Gospel and I have a net mending business. In short, the work that pays the bills.

Years ago, I had an epiphany¹ while listening to a man of God preach. He was doing just what Rev. Brown did last week. He broke the message of Christ down to understandable terms. He presented Christ the Lamb of God. He once again explained the message of Christ our substitute and the terrible price that was paid for our redemption. He explained the transaction of heaven that reconciled humanity to their creator God.

Christ is the sacrificial Lamb. The prophets and the Old Testament proclaimed it; they foretold and foreshadowed it. We needed this propitiation. We, humanity, needed someone to stand as a substitute for us to have a way back to God. As you may know, we were destined to a devil’s hell without one plea. But God intervened through Christ who shed his blood for us on Calvary.

Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted. He did the same with the fish. When they all had enough to eat, he said to the disciples, “Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted.”

Today we proclaim our Father as the One who changes not. He was, is and always will be Shepherd to His people in the Old Testament, New Testament and to the generations into eternity. We are under the pastoral care of God. Meet Jehovah-Rohi, the Lord our shepherd. Psalm 23:1
