The Greatest Mystery And Revelation Are You Saved

Are You Saved?

Are you a Christian? Are you born again? Have you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior? Even though all of these questions have basically the same answer, the answer in your life and my life is very important. Yes, even in a culture that's saturated with church people going when I feel like it, saying my prayers when I'm in trouble... So why am I asking this question at this time? Because it's the only way to Heaven, that’s if you believe in the Word of God, the Bible.

Jesus said in Rev 3:20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him and he with me.

Only Faith and Confession Needed

Do you know that confession is all you need to enter the front door of Salvation? That and belief in your heart unto Salvation. The word says, "For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." Romans 10:10.

And it says, anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.  That is what it takes for us to enter into Salvation. There was a price that had to be paid. Jesus lived a sinless life; he gave his life to redeem mankind as a sacrifice for our sins. Yes he died for our sins over 2000 years ago. And this very act of him dying for our sins, paid the price for humanity's sins and purchased our great salvation. All humanity was destined for a devil's hell but we were redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb that was slain. The next step, now that we are Saved we have been made righteous. We are 'the righteous' through the shed blood of Christ.

The Propitiation

While studying for the fourth book in the Armorbearing Training Series, "In The Spirit Of Armorbearing: God's Mighty Men & Women" It is about some major authorities in the Bible. Without revealing too much, these authorities all had their share of issues, just like we do in our day. Anyway, I discovered afresh the word propitiation meaning what appeases or propitiates. I talk about it in detail in my book but for now remember that Christ is our propitiation, the atoning sacrifice for our sins.

The Apostle John instructed with "My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins , and not only for our but also for the sins of the world.

We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. The man who says, I know him, but does not what he commands is a liar and the truth is not in him. But if anyone obeys his word, Gods love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him. Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did." I John 2:1-6

Our Substitute

When Adam and Eve sinned they caused humanity to fall and gave humanity's authority to the enemy the devil. Genesis 3:1-24 The fall of Man. So humanity had to be redeemed. They needed a way back to a Holy God and a way to present their request to a merciful God but there was no way for humanity to go before a Holy God; for no sin can stand in his Holy presence.

So Christ became a Propitiation for humanity and our sins. You could say He was our substitute; he stood in the gap for all humanity. When he died on the cross death could not hold him because he was sinless; He went to Hell and defeated Death, Hell and the Grave. Revelation:1-18

There you have it in a nutshell; you have the greatest mystery and the greatest revelation ever all in one. So now that we are saved there are responsibilities; we are the righteousness of Christ. Our spirit man is a new man in Christ. There is the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. We have a spirit, soul and body. Our spirit has been renewed in Christ. Our soul and body are renewed daily as we read and do the word of God. And don't forget we should renew our minds in Christ Jesus. That’s the reason Jesus said that we must take up our cross daily and follow after Him.

Why Go To Church?

The Word of God commanded us to forsake not the assembling ourselves together; meaning we should go to Church because that’s where we are also renewed  and strengthened by the Brethren. To follow Jesus in this matter is to be obedient.

Let me just say, I know this will be a hard statement but it must be said. If you are not going to Church regularly, you should be very serious in questioning yourself, if you have surrendered yourself to Jesus.

You know that’s why the Word of God says He must be Lord and Savior. We as Christians should be going to Church every Sunday as an act of obedience. And if you are not, then there's a reason and you should find out what it is before it’s too late. I hope I didn't make you mad. Because that was not my goal. My goal is to provoke you to righteousness.

The Proof Is In The Pudding

You see your life should  automatically show good spiritual fruit and if it’s not that should be a sign. When we are born-again our life will show Christ-like fruit but if you are not, maybe there's a lack of knowledge, which can easily be corrected through reading and meditating on the Word of God; this will build you up. In life in general and especially Christianity, the proof is always in the pudding. When you are filled with the Spirit of God it will show.

A good example, is the case that was just before us in the heated debates about our President's Christianity. You know, I’m not going to state any political views because for me personally as a man of God I have to keep it to myself. Because the Lord's will for me is to cross both sides of the aisle. But this is one thing that I did see; the hearts of men were revealed in this past U.S. election season.

The question I heard a lot of was, "Is our President a Christian or not?" When asked if he was a born again Christian, he said yes I am a Christian. A lot of people agreed and a lot of people said he was not. There is one thing that this whole topic boils down to and I said it earlier, the proof will always show in the pudding.

If you are Christ-like, it will always show. I said all that to come to this point, your fruit will always tell the correct story about you. Even Jesus said, "If you don’t believe in Me believe in my works." Or he could have said believe in my fruit.

So one of the ways to be sure that we are living a congruent life before Christ is to make sure that we have made a solemn choice to accept Christ in our heart and let your fruit show it as proof.

Thanking the Lord for our Salvation
